Marilyn Doris Pedri
17March 1936 – 27 April 2021 (85)
On April 27, 2021, Marilyn left us in her sleep to be with her husband Bert Pedri. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Marilyn Doris Pedri (nee Rockney) was born in Minneapolis, MN to Oscar and Dagny Rockney.
Working as a flight attendant for Western Air Lines, Marilyn met Bert in the produce section of Safeway in Denver CO. They were married August 27, 1960 and lived in Denver. Together they built a home in Parker CO. Marilyn worked with the Gillette Company, and later worked with Welcome Wagon, welcoming new people to the area. The family moved to Sterling, CO where Marilyn started Sterling Newcomers, again to welcome people to the area. A move to Rapid City, SD, and Marilyn started a new career path, and obtained her real estate license in 1980. Returning to Colorado, to the Fort Collins area, Marilyn was a Realtor with Coldwell Banker. She genuinely enjoyed welcoming clients and families to the area, developing long time friendships with so many.
Marilyn was elected to the Board of Directors for Poudre Valley Hospital and served on the Board for Pathways Hospice. In retirement, between her many bridge games, book clubs and travel, Marilyn volunteered at the Colorado Welcome Center, for UC Health, and Poudre Libraries.
Marilyn leaves us to join her husband of 58 years, Bert (Herbert) Pedri. Marilyn is survived by her children Mark Pedri (Laurel), Karen Worden (Glenn), and Renee George (Rob); and her three grandchildren: Riley Groom, Ryan George, and Riana George.
