Betty Turman (Woodring) passed away on Sunday June 6th 2021. Betty was born August 9th 1924 in Lewis Iowa to J. C. Woodring and Vesta Lotspeich Woodring.
She attended schools in Lewis and Atlantic Iowa. Betty had many adventures during her amazing life and loved to travel....Nebraska, Wyoming, California, Vegas, and Puerto Rico just to name a few. She also loved crafts and created beautiful items such as Carved Ostrich eggs, paintings, crocheted blankets and stained glass. Betty was a beautician by trade and owned her own salon in Nebraska for many years. She never met a Kit-Kat candy bar she didn't love and of course Betty was a huge pet lover and had many in her lifetime, from rabbits to finch's (23 at one time), cats and of course dogs......a German Shepard Collie mix, miniature dachshunds, a Rottweiler , boxers and her last dog Fiona the miniature poodle who is now in the loving care of her grandson Jason and his wife Renee.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband MSGT. Walter H. Turman ret. USAF, her parents, her brother Lyle Woodring and his wife Ruby Woodring, her sister Nadine Butler and her husband Kenneth Butler, and her sister Velma Smith and her husband Frank Smith.
Betty is survived by her daughter Janet Elliott of Fort Collins, her grandson Jason Elliott and his wife Renee Elliott of Wellington, and her great granddaughter London Elliott of Loveland.
